CMI and Telia are United by Joining hi-H Program


Barcelona, 26th February 2018
 – A high-level MoU signing ceremony by and between China Mobile International Limited (CMI) and Telia Company AB (Telia) was convened by hi-H Program during MWC Barcelona 2018 on 26 Feb., 2018. The agreements remarks that strategic cooperation will be accelerated under the framework of hi-H Program. Dr. Li Feng, CEO of CMI and Mr. Johan Dennelind, President and CEO of Telia Company signed the MoU on behalf of CMI and Telia.


The MoU symbolizes that the partnership is successfully built up between the two signing parties. Under the new partnership, Telia is now one of the hi-H Program members. The agreements highlights several cooperation fields the both parties agree to make efforts to assess opportunities and conduct further negotiations, which are data business, mobile business, innovation telecom technology. This alliance allows hi-H Program expand the coverage to 2.8 billion customers all over the world.


Dr. Li delivered a speech during the signing ceremony and commented: “Though the co-operation and collaboration between CMI and Telia have flourished on various businesses over the years, the MoU commits us to work together more closely towards our common goal, the pursuit of becoming influential operators. In the coming future, we will be able to intensify the new established link between CMI and Telia, which will strengthen mutual understanding and spread ideas.”


Mr. Johan Dennelind, President and CEO of Telia Company commented: “Joining hi-H Program is not the first step CMI and Telia take to demonstrate the determination and confidence to work together, but definitely a significant and productive step to form an even closer cooperation.”
